Secondary schools across Chelmsford are inviting enthusiastic and dependable individuals to join as Cover Teachers starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in a range of different great schools in the local area. Experienced Teachers to ECT’s are welcome to apply for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
*Delivering planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
*Supporting students’ academic progress and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
*Maintaining a calm, positive classroom environment and managing behaviour effectively
*Working closely with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson transitions and consistent learning
*Building your confidence and skills by working in real classroom settings
Who We’re Looking For:
*Comfortable leading groups and encouraging student participation
*Clear communicator, adaptable, and able to stay calm under pressure
*Reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping students succeed
*Engaging lessons across a range of subjects
