Pay*Basic Pay: £13.48 per hour
*Van Driver Allowance: £1.19 per hour on top of the hourly rate!
Job OverviewWe are looking for a Home Delivery Driver to join our delivery team based at Bedford. This is a temporary ongoing position with an immediate start. The role involves delivering a range of white goods, brown goods and bulky items directly into customers’ homes while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities*Safely drive a company van and complete scheduled deliveries.
*Deliver white goods, brown goods and bulky items to customers’ homes.
*Lift and manoeuvre items weighing up to 80-90kg as part of a two-person delivery team where required.
*Handle goods with care to prevent damage during transport and delivery.
*Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
*Complete delivery paperwork and follow company procedures.
*Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
*Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safe manual handling practices.
Requirements*Full UK driving licence with no more than the company-approved number of penalty points.
*Good level of physical fitness due to regular heavy lifting.
*Excellent customer service and communication skills.
*Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
*Previous delivery or multi-drop driving experience is desirable but not essential.
