Description
*Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for the group.
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
*Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
*Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
*Review and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
*Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
*Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
*Support the finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.
Profile
A successful Group Accountant should have:
*A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
*Solid technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and consolidation.
*Experience working in a similar role, ideally within the transport and distribution industry.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
*The ability to work effectively within a hybrid working model.
Job Offer
*Salary between £60,000 and £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
