Full job descriptionAs an Audit Manager in Cardiff’s professional services industry, you’ll oversee audits and ensure seamless project delivery for a range of clients. This role plays a key part in maintaining quality standards and supporting the accounting and finance team.

A professional services firm based in Cardiff, specialising in accounting and finance. Our client is an established independent accountancy practice that provides tailored accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a diverse client base. They have built a strong reputation for delivering a personal, commercially focused service and work closely with clients to provide practical solutions that support long-term success.
Due to increasing demand across their client portfolio, the firm is expanding its Audit team and investing in the future of the service line. Their clients operate across a range of sectors and include both SMEs and larger, more complex businesses, creating an interesting and varied working environment for ambitious accounting professionals.
Description
*Manage and oversee audit engagements from planning to completion.
*Ensure compliance with relevant auditing and accounting standards.
*Review and finalise audit reports and financial statements.
*Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
*Maintain strong client relationships and address any queries promptly.
*Identify and address areas for process improvement within audits.
*Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive service delivery.
*Stay updated on changes in audit regulations and best practices.
Profile
A successful Audit Manager should have:
*Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
*At least 2.5 years’ experience of client facing audit experience
*Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting.
*Experience managing audit projects and leading teams.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
