Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of welcoming primary schools across Sheffield. We have opportunities to suit those seeking flexible day-to-day assignments, as well as long-term and permanent positions starting throughout the academic year.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with children from Early Years through to Year 6, providing tailored support to help them succeed both academically and socially. Roles are available within mainstream classrooms and specialist Integrated Resource (IR) Units, supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
The ideal candidate will:*Have previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar educational environment.
*Be calm, patient and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
*Be confident adapting to the individual needs of children.
*Work effectively alongside teachers and other professionals.
*Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (beneficial but not essential).
