The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Management Accountant to join a well-known, prestigious organisation based in Liverpool on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career within a high-performing finance team. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end processes and providing valuable financial insight to support business decision-making.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
*Supporting the month-end close process, including journal postings, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Performing variance analysis and investigating key movements across financial results.
*Supporting the preparation of statutory reporting and external audit requirements.
*Maintaining strong financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiencies.
*Analysing financial data to identify trends and provide meaningful commercial insight.
*Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
*Working closely with stakeholders across finance and wider business functions to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
*Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
The Person
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
*Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent).
*Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant position.
*Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*High levels of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
*Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP or financial systems.
*Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across the business.
*The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines within a busy environment.
*A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
