The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching is recruiting GCSE English & Maths Tutors to support secondary-aged learners throughout Sefton.
You’ll provide engaging 1:1 tuition designed to help students improve attainment, prepare for examinations and develop confidence in English and Maths. Tuition is personalised to each learner, giving you the flexibility to adapt your teaching to suit individual needs.
Position Details
* Location: Sefton
* Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications
Successful applicants will have:
* Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths
* QTS, PGCE or equivalent (preferred)
* Excellent curriculum knowledge
* Strong communication and organisational skills
To be eligible, you must:
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
* Provide two professional child-related references
