Deputy Headteacher (SEND)Location: South East London
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to support the Headteacher in leading our SEND school. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high-quality teaching, improving outcomes for pupils with SEND, and supporting the strategic development of the school.
Essential Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Significant experience working within a SEND school or specialist provision.
*Proven leadership experience at senior or middle leadership level.
*Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCPs, and inclusive practices.
*Experience of improving teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes.
*Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
Key Responsibilities*Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership of the school.
*Lead on teaching, learning, and curriculum development.
*Monitor and improve pupil progress and achievement.
*Support safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
*Line manage staff and lead professional development.
*Build effective partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
*Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
Personal Qualities*Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
*Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
*Resilient, collaborative, and solution-focused.
*Committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and high standards.
