Full job descriptionA Purchase Ledger Clerk in Bolton will handle the day-to-day processing of invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the not-for-profit sector. This role is key to keeping the organisation’s accounts running smoothly and supports the wider finance team.

Description
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk duties will include but are not limited to
*Process invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the ledger.
*Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
*Handle supplier queries and maintain good relationships with vendors.
*Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring all approvals are in place.
*Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accounts are up to date.
*Assist with month-end tasks, such as accruals and journal postings.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
*Support the finance team with other related tasks as required.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
*Experience in purchase ledger or a similar accounts payable role.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
*Good organisational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
*Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and colleagues.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving discrepancies.
