Full Time | September Start | Long-Term - Tower Hamlets
Do you have experience supporting children or young people with mental health needs?
We are recruiting for a specialist education setting seeking a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams, you’ll deliver emotional wellbeing support, help students regulate their emotions and build trusting relationships that enable young people to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Great transport links and parking available.
Responsibilities*Deliver 1:1 and small group wellbeing interventions
*Support emotional regulation throughout the school day
*Build positive relationships with students
*Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff
*Monitor student wellbeing and progress
*Support safeguarding procedures
*Help pupils overcome barriers to learning
Requirements*SEMH, SEND, CAMHS, Youth Work or Alternative Provision experience
*Excellent communication skills
*Calm and patient approach
*Trauma-informed mindset
*Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
