A highly regarded and growing independent accountancy practice in Cheshire is looking to recruit an Audit Senior to join its expanding team.




Description


As an Audit Senior, you will take a lead role in delivering audit assignments for a broad range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to larger corporate entities. You’ll work closely with managers and partners while also supporting and mentoring junior team members.
The role offers a combination of audit and advisory exposure, providing an excellent platform for career development and progression.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
*Preparing and reviewing audit work in line with regulatory and professional standards.
*Supervising and coaching junior members of the audit team.
*Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact during assignments.
*Identifying audit and business risks and proposing practical solutions.
*Drafting and presenting audit findings and recommendations.
*Supporting managers and partners with client service and business development activities.
*Assisting with statutory accounts preparation where required.


Profile


The successful Audit Senior will:
*Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
*Have previous audit experience within an accountancy practice environment.
*Possess strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
*Be confident communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels.
*Have experience leading audits and supervising junior staff.
*Be proactive, organised, and keen to develop professionally.
*Demonstrate a genuine interest in building a long-term career within practice.
*Able to work from the firms Nantwich office.
