Full job descriptionThis Finance Manager role offers the opportunity to lead the day-to-day finance function, taking ownership of management accounts, cash flow forecasting, month-end processes, payroll, VAT and financial reporting while managing a Finance Assistant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial insight, drive process improvements and support strategic decision-making.

Description
*Producing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis.
*Managing month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
*Owning the cash flow forecasting process and monitoring performance against forecast.
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns and overseeing payroll activities.
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, partnering with operational teams to understand business performance.
*Developing and maintaining financial and operational KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
*Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiencies and enhance reporting capability.
*Providing financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
*Supporting external audit requirements and maintaining strong financial controls and compliance.
*Leading and developing a small finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting responsibilities with commercial business partnering and continuous improvement initiatives.
Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
*Previous experience within a finance leadership, management accounting or senior finance role.
*Strong accounting knowledge and experience producing accurate and timely financial information.
*A track record of partnering with operational and senior stakeholders to support decision-making.
*Experience improving processes, enhancing controls and driving efficiencies within a finance function.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations.
*Confidence managing priorities, meeting deadlines and operating effectively in a growing business environment.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Strong systems knowledge, including advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with finance software.
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Qualified-by-experience
