Salary: Competitive daily rate - dependent on experience
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Hackney from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced Cover Supervisors looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will supervise lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged with the work set by teaching staff while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
The Role*Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
*Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain on task.
*Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
*Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson outcomes.
*Support students in their learning and promote a positive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience working with young people in a school or educational setting is desirable.
*Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
*A confident, adaptable and professional approach.
*A degree is desirable but not essential.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
*Right to work in the UK.
