Maths TutorProspero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Maths Tutor to support students across Primary, Secondary and Further Education (FE) settings in Tower Hamlets.As a Maths Tutor, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that are tailored to the individual needs and abilities of each learner. You will support students in developing their mathematical skills, building confidence, and achieving their academic goals across a range of levels, from Primary numeracy through to GCSE and Functional Skills Maths.
We offer tuition through a variety of delivery methods to best meet the needs of our learners. Tuition may be delivered online, face-to-face in local libraries and council-provided venues, or within children’s homes and residential settings.
This role is ideal for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, FE lecturers, or maths specialists who are passionate about helping students succeed. You will have the opportunity to work with learners of varying abilities and learning styles, adapting your teaching approach to ensure positive outcomes for every student.
Prospero Teaching will provide ongoing support and guidance throughout your placement, helping you to deliver the highest standard of tuition and achieve the best outcomes for learners.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS*QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Mathematics Degree, or equivalent qualification
*Minimum 6 months’ experience teaching or tutoring Maths within a UK educational setting
*Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum from Primary through to Further Education level
*Experience delivering GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths is desirable
*Experience supporting students with additional learning needs is advantageous
*Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable but not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:*Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
*Provide two professional references covering the last two years
*Complete Prospero Teaching’s registration and safeguarding compliance process
