About the Role
We’re looking for enthusiastic and supportive Key Stage 2 Tutors to work with children across the BCP area, providing personalised 1:1 tuition to learners who require additional educational support.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you’ll support pupils who may be unable to access mainstream education full-time, have additional learning needs, or require a tailored approach to help them achieve their potential. Your focus will be on building confidence, developing key skills, and creating positive learning experiences that encourage progress.
*Location: BCP
*Key Stage: KS2
*Start Date: September
*Hours: Flexible
*Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
*Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements
*Minimum 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
*Experience supporting primary-aged children
*Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
*Ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs
*Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Patient, nurturing, and engaging approach
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
*Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within your local area

*Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
*Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
*ADHD
*Anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance
*EHCPs and additional educational needs
The role is centred around helping young learners re-engage with education, develop their confidence, and make meaningful progress in a supportive environment.
