Job type: Fixed term contract (initially 6 months but with the possibility it could be extended, subject to business requirements)
Salary: £26,000 - £28.000 per annum (Dependent on experience)


Overview
HRGO are exclusively supporting our client in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their busy finance team on a fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will assist with sales and purchase ledgers, support credit control activities, and provide general administrative and financial support across the department.


Key Responsibilities
*Maintain and reconcile the Sales Ledger: post invoices, apply receipts, investigate and resolve discrepancies
*Process Purchase Ledger transactions: enter invoices, prepare payments, match purchase orders and invoices
*Support Credit Control: monitor aging reports, contact customers regarding overdue accounts, escalate issues as appropriate
*Assist with month end routines and basic reconciliations
*Prepare and maintain financial records and reports as required
*Provide general support to the Finance team, including ad-hoc administrative tasks and process improvements Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers/customers to resolve queries


Required Skills and Experience
*Strong numeracy and attention to detail
*Experience in a similar role/relevant qualifications would be preferred but not essential
*Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues with varied tasks
