Michael Page are actively working with a long standing client who are looking to add a permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk to their finance team in North Leeds. My client is looking for a proactive, motivated candidate that is always keen to get better, and who loves fast paced working environments. This opportunity would be fantastic for a accounts payable candidate looking to gain experience in a high performing finance team and someone looking to find stability & longevity in their next role. Description
*Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
*Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all payments are up to date.
*Handle supplier queries and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
*Weekly payment runs
*Assist with month-end tasks, including ledger & bank reconciliations.
*Supporting in month end management accounts
*Presenting trends and insights to the Purchase Ledger team along with other departments
*Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
*Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger should have:
*Previous experience in a similar Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role
*Someone that is looking to find longevity in their next role
*Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
*Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
*Motivated to learn, progress and take on new duties as the role evolves
*Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel

*Strong Salary up to £30,000 p.a.
*3 days on site /2 days working from home hybrid working model after training period
