Full job description A leading UK accountancy and business advisory firm is looking to appoint an experienced Corporate Tax Director or Associate Director to join its growing Manchester team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, lead complex advisory engagements and play a key role in the continued growth of a highly regarded Corporate Tax practice. Working with a broad range of businesses from entrepreneurial start-ups and high-growth companies through to large private groups and listed multinational organisations you’ll provide commercially focused tax advice while developing strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

The Opportunity

As a senior member of the Corporate Tax team, you’ll combine technical expertise, commercial insight and leadership skills to deliver high-quality advisory solutions for clients. You’ll work closely with Partners and senior leadership to develop client relationships, identify new opportunities and support the continued expansion of the practice. This role offers the autonomy to shape your portfolio, influence strategy and make a genuine impact. Whether you’re an experienced Director looking for a new challenge or a Senior Manager / Associate Director ready to step up, this role provides an excellent platform to progress your career.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead the delivery of complex Corporate Tax advisory assignments, ensuring technically robust and commercially valuable solutions.
*Advise clients on a broad range of tax matters including tax planning, structuring, due diligence and international tax issues.
*Build and maintain trusted relationships with business owners, CFOs and senior stakeholders.
*Manage large and complex projects, coordinating input from internal specialists and overseas teams where required.
*Identify opportunities to add value for clients and support business development activity.
*Prepare proposals, contribute to pitches and support the growth of existing and new client relationships.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues across tax and wider advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions.
*Lead, coach and develop junior team members, supporting a high-performing and inclusive culture.
*Contribute to the continued development of the Corporate Tax offering and wider practice strategy.
About You *CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification, with significant post-qualified Corporate Tax experience.
*A strong background in delivering Corporate Tax advisory services within practice.
*Experience advising on complex tax matters including planning, structuring, due diligence and international tax issues.
*Strong commercial awareness with the ability to provide practical, client-focused solutions.
*Experience managing senior client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory work.
*Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects and develop junior colleagues.
*Confidence contributing to business development, proposals and wider practice initiatives.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
