Operational Cyber Software Engineer

Location: Manchester (5 Days Onsite)

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Excellent Benefits

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing cyber engineering team developing secure software for challenging operational environments. You’ll combine strong software engineering expertise with a security-focused mindset, helping to build resilient systems capable of operating against evolving cyber threats.

You’ll also play a key role in mentoring engineers, leading technical workstreams and contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects.

What They’re Looking For *Strong programming experience in languages such as C++, Java, C#, Python or JavaScript.
*Experience designing and developing secure software solutions.
*Understanding of cyber security principles and secure development practices.
*Experience leading technical work or mentoring junior engineers.
*Awareness of cyber threats, attacks, vulnerabilities and risk.
*Experience working in security-conscious or highly regulated environments.
Desirable *Existing DV Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
*Background in cyber security, defence, technology, financial services or national security environments.
*Experience with incident response, vulnerability management or secure systems engineering.
