Supporting some of the country’s most complex engineering, construction and industrial projects, this organisation employs thousands of people across the UK and continues to invest heavily in both its people and its finance function.

The OpportunityAs Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll become an integral member of the finance team, supporting month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management and financial analysis across a busy, fast-paced operation.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to payroll accounting, treasury, VAT, management accounts, commercial reporting and process improvement while working closely with stakeholders across multiple business functions.

About YouWe’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn, enjoys working with numbers and wants to develop a long-term career within management accounting.
You’ll be proactive, organised and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work while continuing to learn from an experienced finance team.
Ideally you’ll have:
*Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant or similar finance role.
*Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFS.
*Experience using ERP or accounting systems (Business Central experience would be advantageous but isn’t essential).
*Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
*Confidence communicating with stakeholders across the business.
*The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines within a busy finance function.
Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous but is not essential.
