Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Supply)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across South Birmingham primary schools?
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We work with a variety of welcoming primary schools that require both short-term and long-term supply support.
The Role*Supporting children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
*Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
*Helping pupils to access learning and achieve their individual targets
*Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
*Supporting personal care where required
The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school, nursery, care, or support setting
*A patient, nurturing, and positive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
*An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
