Robert Walters is partnering with a leading supply chain and logistics organisation in the search for an experienced Inventory and Planning Manager. This is a commercially focused leadership role with responsibility for inventory strategy, stock accuracy, forecasting, and continuous improvement across two operational sites.




Inventory and Planning ManagerSalary: £53,000 + Car Allowance
Location: Midlands based (multi site)
Robert Walters is partnering with a leading supply chain and logistics organisation in the search for an experienced Inventory and Planning Manager. This is a commercially focused leadership role with responsibility for inventory strategy, stock accuracy, forecasting, and continuous improvement across two operational sites.
Reporting into senior operational leadership, you will lead inventory activities across the network, managing site-based inventory teams and ensuring robust stock control processes support operational performance and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities*Develop inventory and stock planning strategies to support operational demand and future growth.
*Lead forecasting activities and inventory planning across multiple warehouse locations.
*Drive inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting and stock control processes.
*Manage and develop Inventory Supervisors, providing leadership and support across both sites.
*Analyse inventory performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency.
*Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to ensure optimum stock availability and warehouse utilisation.
*Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management and planning.
About You*Proven inventory management experience within a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
*Strong inventory planning, forecasting and stock control expertise.
*Previous people management or supervisory leadership experience.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
*Experience using WMS and inventory management systems.
