The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a leading precision engineering and manufacturing business serving the Oil & Gas and Aerospace industries. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established organisation committed to delivering high-quality engineered products to customers worldwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out detailed visual and dimensional inspections, ensuring all products meet customer specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
*Perform visual and dimensional inspection of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
*Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
*Use precision measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometres, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
*Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
*Identify and report non-conforming products in accordance with quality procedures.
*Support investigations into quality issues and assist with corrective actions.
*Work closely with production teams to maintain high-quality standards.
*Ensure compliance with company quality management systems and health & safety procedures.
About You
*Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or Quality Control role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*Experience using precision measuring equipment.
*Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
*Strong communication and organisational skills.
*A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
*Experience within precision machining, Oil & Gas, or Aerospace industries.
*Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar).
*Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and inspection documentation.
*CMM experience would be desirable
