We are recruiting for a dedicated English Teacher to join a supportive specialist school in West Sussex, working with pupils who require additional support to reach their full potential. The Role:
*Plan and deliver creative, engaging English lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
*Differentiate teaching to support a range of learning abilities and communication styles.
*Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider school team.
*Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise achievement.
About the Pupils:
The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including:
*Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
*Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
*Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
*Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

A patient, flexible and nurturing approach is essential, along with a commitment to helping every student succeed.
We’re Looking For:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*Experience teaching English at secondary level
*A passion for inclusive education
*Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Previous experience within an SEN setting is desirable but not essential
