A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hastings is seeking a caring and committed Individual Needs Assistant to provide dedicated support for students with Autism (ASC). The RoleAs an Individual Needs Assistant, you will:
*Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with Autism.
*Assist pupils in accessing lessons and engaging with learning activities.
*Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
*Encourage independence while providing the appropriate level of guidance and reassurance.
*Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to implement personalised support strategies.
*Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:*Has experience supporting children or young people with Autism or additional learning needs.
*Is patient, empathetic, and able to build trusting relationships.
*Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Can remain calm and adaptable in a busy school environment.
*Is committed to helping every student overcome barriers to learning.
