Full job descriptionA leading specialist law firm is seeking an International Protection & Arbitration Paralegal to join its busy London office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal with experience in immigration, international protection, arbitration or human rights to join a highly respected team. Working alongside experienced solicitors, you will support a varied caseload while developing your expertise in complex international and public law matters.
The International Protection & Arbitration Paralegal’s RoleThe successful International Protection & Arbitration Paralegal will provide legal and administrative support across a broad range of international protection and arbitration matters.
Responsibilities will include:
*Drafting legal correspondence, witness statements and court documents
*Preparing Home Office, Tribunal and Court applications
*Managing electronic and paper case files
*Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and government bodies
*Attending client meetings, conferences and hearings, taking detailed attendance notes
*Preparing bundles and supporting documentation
*Monitoring deadlines and maintaining accurate case management records
*Assisting with legal research and case preparation
*Supporting AML, compliance and client onboarding procedures
*Contributing to business development through networking and legal articles
The International Protection & Arbitration Paralegal*At least 6 months’ paralegal experience within immigration, litigation, arbitration or human rights
*Law degree, GDL, LPC or SQE qualification
*Strong drafting and legal research skills
*Excellent written and spoken English
*Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
*Strong client care and interpersonal skills
*Proactive, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
*Experience of Home Office procedures, international arbitration or human rights work would be advantageous
