Full job descriptionWe are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Cheshire who are recruiting for an Electrician on a temporary four-week contract.
The position is due to start immediately, covering sickness there is a potential it could be extended. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £28 per hour on a CIS Umbrella basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing and inspection works within residential properties, including both occupied and void homes. They will be confident working independently, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations and certification standards.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Carrying out electrical repairs and maintenance within occupied and void residential properties
*Completing electrical testing, inspection, fault-finding, and certification works
*Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults to achieve first-time fixes where possible
*Installing, repairing, and replacing electrical fixtures, fittings, and wiring systems
*Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
*Maintaining accurate records and completing all required certification and documentation
*Managing materials and vehicle stock to support efficient service delivery
*Providing a professional and customer-focused service when working in residents’ homes
Experience required:
*Experience carrying out electrical repairs and maintenance within residential properties
*Experience conducting electrical testing, inspection, and fault-finding activities
*Experience completing electrical certification in accordance with current regulations
*Experience working in occupied and void properties
*Experience working within health and safety guidelines and industry best practices
