cer Financial are working alongside a financial services firm, who are based in London. They are seeking a Senior Associate to work with them on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
*Monitor and manage a portfolio of infrastructure and energy debt investments.
*Conduct regular credit risk analysis, including financial, operational, regulatory, market, and country risk assessments.
*Prepare annual credit reviews, waiver requests, amendments, and internal credit papers.
*Update and review financial and cash flow models, including downside and stress-testing scenarios.
*Assign and maintain internal credit ratings.
*Monitor loan covenants, conditions, and key deadlines, ensuring accurate record keeping.
*Analyse borrower reports, drawdown requests, and financial, legal, and technical documentation.
*Negotiate waivers, restructurings, early repayments, and amendments with borrowers, agents, and legal advisers.
*Attend borrower meetings and site visits when required.
*Maintain complete and compliant electronic credit files.
*Produce portfolio reports, watchlists, and reporting for clients, auditors, and senior management.
*Collaborate with internal teams and provide guidance to junior colleagues.
*Support new business development, proposals, presentations, and onboarding of new client portfolios.
*Ensure compliance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will have:
*Proven experience in credit risk, asset management, or project finance.
*Strong background in infrastructure and/or energy project finance.
*Experience monitoring and managing loan portfolios.
*Experience in client-facing environments and presenting to senior stakeholders or credit committees.
*Strong understanding of project finance and corporate finance.
*Excellent credit analysis and risk assessment skills.
*Ability to analyse complex financial models and financing structures.
*Experience reviewing legal and loan documentation.
*Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
*Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
*Bachelor’s degree (preferably with honours) in a relevant subject.
*Postgraduate qualification is desirable.
*Professional banking or finance qualifications.
