A friendly and supportive primary school in Hackney is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them build confidence and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities*Support teaching and learning across the classroom

*Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups

*Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

*Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

*Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning

*Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual learning needs

*Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

RequirementsEssential:
*GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

*Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude

*A genuine passion for supporting young people

Desirable:
*Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant

*Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

*Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

*A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related subject
