Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2 (TA2)
Hours: 8:45am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: £14.63 per hour
Contract: Term Time Only

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support learning within a Year 3 classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support to pupils, and contribute to a positive learning environment where children feel valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities.
*Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and improve attainment.
*Assist in the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays.
*Support pupils with varying learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
*Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
*Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
*Assist with classroom organisation and maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment.
*Support pupils during break times, educational visits, and school activities when required.
*Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents in line with the school’s nurturing ethos.
*Adhere to all safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential
*Previous experience working with primary-aged children.
*A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
*Good literacy and numeracy skills.
*The ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
*A patient, caring, and supportive approach.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within a school setting.
Desirable
*Experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2.
*Knowledge of the Year 3 curriculum.
*Experience supporting children with additional learning needs.
*First Aid qualification.
