Salary: £1,800 - £2,300 per month
Start Date: Immediate / September
Contract: Permanent | Full-time
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Waltham forest is looking to appoint a qualified EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who holds a Level 3 qualification and is passionate about supporting children’s early development.
This welcoming and inclusive primary school is committed to providing a positive and engaging Early Years environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and develop. With a strong focus on teamwork, creativity, and child-centred learning, the school provides staff with the support and resources needed to make a real difference in children’s early education.
Key Responsibilities*Support teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom
*Assist with planning and delivering engaging play-based activities
*Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
*Work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
*Complete observations and contribute to children’s learning journeys
*Support classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources
*Encourage positive behaviour and independence
RequirementsEssential:
*Level 3 Early Years qualification (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
*GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
*Experience working within an Early Years or school setting
*Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
*A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Desirable:
*Previous experience working within EYFS
*Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
*Knowledge of observations, assessments, and learning journeys
*Paediatric First Aid qualification
*Experience working as an Early Years Practitioner or Nursery Nurse
