A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will provide classroom support, assist pupils with their learning, and help create a positive and engaging environment where every child can thrive.
You will support pupils across the classroom, working on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and during whole-class activities. The role is ideal for someone looking to build their experience within education or continue developing their career as a Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities*Support teaching and learning across the classroom
*Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions
*Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
*Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
*Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
*Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupils’ individual needs
*Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
RequirementsEssential:
*GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
*Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
*A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Desirable:
*Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
*Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
*Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
*Degree in Education, Psychology, or a related subject
