If you’ve ever worked as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Youth Leader, or 1:1 Assistance, you already have the exact skills high schools need most: patience, empathy, and strong communication.
While classrooms are closed for the summer holidays, our recruitment team is actively matching hands-on support professionals with vibrant secondary schools for the upcoming academic year.
We have immediate opportunities to start from day 1 of September for dedicated, upbeat Cover Supervisors across secondary schools in Bootle and surrounding Sefton areas (L20 and L21).

Requirements:
*Practical background in SEN support, care work, youth mentoring, 1:1 assistance, or classroom support.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teenagers.
*Confidence with classroom management and handling low-level disruption assertively.
*Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Key Duties:
*Supervise high school classes (KS3 & KS4) during short-term teacher absences.
*Deliver pre-set work and learning instructions provided by the department.
*Maintain strong classroom control using the school’s positive behaviour policies.
*Keep students focused and on-task throughout each lesson period.
*Collect completed work and report back to the subject department head.
