Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established business in Manchester as they look to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
This is an immediate requirement for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who can hit the ground running and provide additional support during a particularly busy period. With year-end approaching, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the finance function continues to operate smoothly, supporting both month-end and year-end activities.
This is a fully office-based role, five days a week in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support the delivery of accurate and timely month-end close processes.
*Assist with year-end reporting and statutory accounting requirements.
*Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
*Support financial reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders.
*Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.
*Help maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
*Provide additional support across the wider finance team as required.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
*ACA or ACCA qualification.
*Previous experience working as a Financial Accountant within a fast-paced environment.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience supporting year-end processes.
*The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
*Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
*Availability to start at short notice or immediately.
