Full job descriptionRobert Half are working in exclusive partnership with a highly regarded, thriving company in Swindon to recruit an Assistant Accountant role on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting role that will provide exposure the month-end process, whilst carrying various transactional finance tasks and business partnering with stakeholders. The Assistant Accountant position is an ideal opportunity for an AAT, CIMA, ACCA studier that is looking for a step up and gain more month-end management accounting experience and career progression. The salary is between £30,000 - £35,000 plus study support, annual bonus and hybrid working.
Main responsibilities
The keys duties of the Assistant Accountant role will consist of:
*Supporting the production of monthly management accounts.
*Balance sheet reconciliations.
*Fixed assets and depreciation.
*Bank reconciliations.
*General ledger postings.
*Supporting with accounts payable and accounts receivable related tasks.
*Bank posting.
*Liaising with stakeholders and dealing with queries.
Requirements
To be considered for the Assistant Accountant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/experience:
*Must have experience within a Finance/Accounts Assistant role, preferably with exposure to month-end processes; journals, accruals, prepayments.
*Ideally an AAT, CIMA or ACCA studier.
*Strong communication skills.
*Good attention to detail.
*Good team player.
*Adaptable and self-sufficient.
*Confident user of Excel.
