*Location: Preston, Lancashire
*Salary: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
*Start Date: September 2026 (Immediate or long-term options also available)
*Contract: Full-time, long-term
Are you caring, patient, and passionate about supporting young people with complex needs?Tradewind Recruitment is working with a specialist SEN school in Preston seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex SEND.
The Role*Provide personal care, mobility, and sensory support for pupils with physical and learning needs.
*Work 1:1 or in small groups to promote independence, communication, and wellbeing.
*Support therapy programmes and use communication aids such as Makaton or PECS.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, healthcare staff, and therapists.
About You*Experience in care, support work, or SEN education (PMLD or complex needs preferred).
*Compassionate, reliable, and resilient with a calm, nurturing approach.
*Comfortable assisting with personal care and medical routines (training provided).
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
