We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our engineering team and take ownership of key areas within our web platform. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in React and Next.js, a genuine passion for building performant and scalable user interfaces, and the maturity to collaborate effectively within an Agile team.
This role is a hands-on individual contributor position with significant influence over frontend architecture decisions, code quality standards, and mentoring of less experienced colleagues. You will work closely with product, design, and backend engineering teams to deliver features that directly impact our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality frontend features and components using React and Next.js.
* Own frontend architecture decisions and drive best practices for code structure, state management, performance, and accessibility.
* Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, QA and Backend Engineers within Agile sprint cycles (Scrum) to deliver user-facing features on time.
* Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and refinement sessions, contributing to continuous process improvement.
* Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code. Champion code reviews and establish quality gates for the frontend codebase.
* Mentor and support mid-level frontend developers, promoting knowledge sharing and technical growth.
* Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, rendering issues, and scalability challenges.
* Contribute to technical strategy discussions, including library selection, build tooling, and platform-wide frontend standards.
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years of professional, production-level experience building applications with Next.js and React.
* Strong command of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript in real-world projects.
* Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), incremental static regeneration (ISR), and the Next.js App Router.
* Hands-on experience with React 19 features, including the new use() hook, Server Components, Server Actions, and the updated concurrent rendering model.
* Experience with Next.js 15 and its latest capabilities, including Partial Prerendering (PPR), the enhanced App Router, and the Turbopack bundler.
* Experience with state management libraries and patterns (e.g., Zustand, Redux Toolkit, Jotai, React Context).
* Proficiency in modern CSS approaches: Tailwind CSS, ShadCN, or CSS-in-JS solutions.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex business requirements into elegant frontend solutions.
* A proven track record of working within Agile methodologies as part of cross-functional teams is a plus.
* Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright.
* Experience with Git-based workflows (feature branches, pull requests, code reviews).
* Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
* Experience in Domain Driven Design
* Experience with multitenant platform architecture - understanding of tenant isolation, shared infrastructure patterns, dynamic routing per tenant, and tenant-specific configuration management.
* Ability to reason about and contribute to complex, large-scale system design - comfortable navigating ambiguity, proposing trade-offs, and collaborating on architectural decisions beyond the frontend layer.
* Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Sentry, New Relic) for frontend performance tracking and error monitoring.
* Familiarity with headless CMS platforms (Core Media), e-commerce frameworks, or composable architecture patterns.
* Experience with design systems and component library development (e.g., Storybook).
