Full job descriptionRobert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join an exciting Construction company experiencing huge growth based in Gloucester. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£50,000 - £60,000 plus up to 8% bonus and 3 remote working days per week
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
*Establish monthly, quarterly and annual closings for the UK, including supporting VAT returns, CIS submissions and annual accounts preparation
*Process multi-currency accounting entries and perform intercompany reconciliations
*Prepare income statement and balance sheet, process IFRS journals and adjustments
*Perform bank reconciliations and resolve queries
*Support external audit preparation and coordinate with auditors on UK-specific matters
*Organise regular training and follow-up sessions with the accounting team on ERP usage
*Ensure correct coding, use of automation features, and compliance with group ERP standards
*Identify and communicate ERP system improvements, issues and accounting process enhancements to the team
*Build on existing processes and implement improvements in line with group policies
*Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc analyses, budget preparation and cost reporting
Person specification:
*ACA OR ACCA qualified
*Currently working within audit or a financial accounting role with IFRS exposure
*In-depth knowledge of consolidation and reporting tools
*Intermediate level Excel with a good knowledge of ERP systems
