Description
*Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
*Manage the general ledger and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
*Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
*Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
*Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
*Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
*Support the implementation and monitoring of internal financial controls.
*Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
Profile
A successful Accountant should have:
*A professional accounting qualification or relevant degree in accounting or finance.
*Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
*Experience with financial reporting and budget management.
*Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Job Offer
*Competitive salary ranging from £40,500 to £49,500 dependent on the level of experience.
*Permanent position within the life science industry.
