Location: Cambridge
Salary: £27,000/£30,000
Are you a recent Planning graduate looking to kick-start your career within an established planning team?
I’m currently recruiting for a Graduate Town Planner opportunity in Lincoln, offering the chance to work alongside experienced planners on a broad range of projects, while developing your professional and personal skills through a dedicated graduate training programme.
Responsibilities
*Assist with and prepare planning statements
*Assist with the preparation of planning appraisals
*Support the team on larger planning projects
*Prepare planning applications and appeals
*Assist clients throughout the planning process
*Appraise new development opportunities
*Undertake planning research and analysis
*Assist with the preparation of Design and Access Statements where required
*Manage a range of planning applications and monitor outcomes
*Undertake community engagement
*Attend planning committee meetings and public examinations
*Attend site visits and client meetings
*Assist with the preparation of fee proposals for projects
Requirements
*Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline, ideally RTPI accredited
*Demonstrated interest in planning
*Previous planning experience is desirable but not essential
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team
*Strong motivation and ambition to develop a career in planning
*Transferable skills are welcomed, with consideration given to candidates who may not meet every listed requirement
