An established engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team. This role would suit an experienced geotechnical engineer with 5+ years’ experience who is working towards or close to achieving Chartered status.
The position offers the opportunity to work across a varied range of geotechnical projects, taking responsibility for technical delivery while developing your project management and client-facing experience.
The Role*Deliver geotechnical projects from ground investigation through to design and construction.
*Plan and manage ground investigations, including reviewing factual information and producing interpretative reports.
*Undertake geotechnical analysis and design for a range of development and infrastructure projects.
*Prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
*Carry out geotechnical assessments including slope stability, retaining structures, foundations and earthworks.
*Work closely with structural, civil and environmental engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
*Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
*Assist with project management, including programmes, budgets and resources.
*Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers.
*Contribute to business development and the development of client relationships.
About You*5+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering.
*Working towards or close to achieving Chartered Engineer status.
*Strong experience in UK ground conditions and geotechnical design.
*Experience across ground investigation and interpretative reporting.
*Good knowledge of relevant UK standards and design guidance.
*Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
*Commercially aware with the ability to work directly with clients.
*Experience working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
*Full UK driving licence desirable.
