Job Description:
Full job descriptionSpencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homelessness Prevention & Solutions Officer for a local authority in Northwest London.
In this role, you will work with households facing housing crisis to prevent homelessness, provide expert housing advice, and find safe, sustainable accommodation solutions.
Duties:
*Conduct homelessness assessments and develop Personalised Housing Plans.
*Prevent homelessness by negotiating with landlords and other stakeholders.
*Identify and secure suitable housing solutions, including private rented accommodation.
*Support vulnerable households to sustain tenancies and resolve complex housing issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
*Experience conducting homelessness assessments and managing complex housing cases.
*Experience advising vulnerable customers on housing, welfare and homelessness options.
*Experience negotiating with landlords and stakeholders to prevent homelessness.
*Experience applying homelessness legislation, case law and statutory guidance.
What’s on offer:
Salary: £27ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 5-6 months minimum
Hours: 35 hours per week
