Reed Engineering are delighted to be supporting a specialist manufacturing organisation in their search for a Quality Control Inspector to join their team.
This is a hands-on quality role where you will be responsible for carrying out inspection and testing activities throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards prior to dispatch. You will also support customer and third-party inspections whilst maintaining accurate quality documentation.
Key responsibilities:
*Conducting visual and dimensional inspections against engineering drawings and test procedures
*Performing first-off, in-process and final inspection and testing activities
*Carrying out electrical, fibre optic, hydrostatic, hydraulic and pneumatic testing
*Interpreting test results and identifying non-conformances
*Creating and maintaining quality documentation packs, test records and certification documentation
*Conducting goods inward inspections of customer-supplied equipment and materials
*Liaising with Production, Engineering and Project teams to resolve quality-related issues
*Ensuring inspection and test equipment is maintained, calibrated and fit for purpose
*Supporting compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives across the business
We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience within a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Experience carrying out electrical and/or fibre optic testing, pressure testing, and visual and dimensional inspection is essential. Candidates should also be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings and producing quality documentation.
