Field-Based - Covering the South West

£40,000 - £45,000 + Van (Private Use) + No Call-Out or Weekends + Travel Time Paid + Manufacturer Training + Progression + Flexible Family-Friendly Hours + Holidays + Pension

Are you a Heat Pump Engineer looking for a role with no call-out, no weekend work and genuine flexibility around your life, where your travel time is paid inside your working day?

Do you want to work for a small, family-orientated company where you run your own diary and are trusted to manage your own patch?

The company are a specialist heat pump service and maintenance business, working closely with a leading manufacturer across residential contracts. They are a tight-knit team with genuine ambitions to expand nationally and open a branch abroad, meaning there is real scope to grow as they do.

In this role you will service and maintain existing heat pump installations across the South West, working from home with your van as your office. You will carry out morning and afternoon appointments with travel time counted inside your working hours, spending most of your time across Somerset, Devon and Bristol with roughly one day a fortnight in Cornwall. The work is seasonal, so winter days run 8am-5pm while quieter summer days can finish early once your jobs are done. Further manufacturer training is on offer alongside F-Gas, electrical or plumbing qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing and/or maintaining heat pumps, backed by a plumbing or electrical background. You will need a strong work ethic, good manners and communication skills with customers, and to be well organised. You will also need good access to the M5 and be happy to travel.

If you are a Heat Pump Engineer who wants the flexibility of a family-friendly business, without the call-out rota and weekend work that comes with most engineering roles, this is the position for you.

The Role:

* Servicing and maintaining domestic heat pump systems
* Covering the South West from an M5 corridor base, mainly Somerset, Devon and Bristol
* AM and PM appointments with travel time paid inside working hours
* No overtime, no weekends and no call-out, with genuine flexibility around family commitments
* Further manufacturer training available alongside F-Gas, electrical and plumbing qualifications

The Candidate:

* Experience servicing and/or maintaining heat pumps
* Plumbing or electrical background
* Strong work ethic, good communication and well organised
* Full UK driving licence and off-road parking for a van
* Easily accessible to the M5 corridor
