Solar Technical Manager

Hybrid role - You can be based in or around any of the following areas: Mansfield, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Buxton, Alfreton, Nottingham, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop, Retford

£50,000 - £60,000 + Performance Related Bonus + Overtime + Flexible Working + Company Car + Training and Progression + Pension + Holidays


Are you an experienced Solar PV Electrician or Lead Solar Electrician looking to progress into a technical management role with full training provided, using your hands-on experience to oversee commercial and utility-scale solar projects?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a renewable energy business with over 30 years of experience delivering turnkey Solar PV projects across the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely to a high standard and in line with technical requirements.


The ideal candidate is an experienced Solar PV Electrician or Lead Solar Electrician with strong practical and electrical knowledge, looking to progress into a technical management role covering site audits, quality control, technical support and team mentoring.

The Role:
*Oversee the technical delivery of commercial and utility-scale Solar PV projects, ensuring quality, safety and compliance
*Carry out site audits, quality checks, and technical assessments
*Liaise with project managers, clients, suppliers and contractors to resolve technical issues
*Manage technical and handover documentation, including test certificates and compliance reports
*Mentor engineers and technicians while supporting the wider project team
*Hybrid role based near Chesterfield with occasional site visits


The Person:
*Experienced Solar PV Electrician or Lead Solar Electrician with commercial or utility-scale experience
*Full UK driving licence
*Looking to progress into a technical management role with greater responsibility and leadership
