*1x per month; Weekend Office On-Call (09:00 - 17:00): £12.71 per hour
*1x per week; Evening/Morning On-Call Payment (17:00 - 23:00 and 06:00 - 08:00): £50 per shift

About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced and organised Allocations Officer / Rosterer to join a growing domiciliary care provider.
This role is central to the successful delivery of care services, ensuring all visits are allocated efficiently, staffing levels remain compliant and service users receive consistent, person-centred care.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, Coordinators and Care Teams, you will be responsible for managing rotas, allocating care visits, coordinating staffing resources, managing annual leave requests and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkforce Planning & Scheduling
*Create and maintain effective staff rotas using People Planner or a similar care management system.
*Allocate all care visits in line with service user care plans and business requirements.
*Ensure sufficient staffing levels are maintained at all times.
*Coordinate emergency cover and staffing changes when required.
*Communicate rota changes promptly to both staff and service users.
*Support neighbouring areas and services during periods of high demand.
Service User Management
*Add new packages of care onto the care management system promptly.
*Review care plans and understand individual service user requirements.
*Work alongside Coordinators to ensure care packages are delivered safely and effectively.
*Respond appropriately to changes in service user needs and wellbeing.
Communication & Relationship Management
*Act as a key point of contact for care staff, service users, families and professionals.
*Liaise with healthcare professionals, Local Authorities and external providers where required.
*Provide support and guidance to care staff during their shifts.
*Maintain positive working relationships across the wider service.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
*Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies.
*Audit service user records and care notes.
*Produce and submit weekly KPI reports.
*Maintain accurate staffing and service user records.
*Support quality assurance and governance processes.
On-Call Responsibilities
As part of the rota, you will:
*Provide on-call support during evenings and weekends.
*Support care staff with emergencies and operational issues.
*Assist with arranging cover for sickness and short-notice absences.
*Ensure continuity of care outside normal office hours.
*Escalate safeguarding concerns and operational issues appropriately.
Essential Skills & ExperienceEssential
*Previous experience in domiciliary care scheduling, rostering, coordination or workforce planning.
*Experience working within a Health & Social Care setting.
*Knowledge of visit allocation and care scheduling.
*Experience using People Planner or similar care management systems.
*Strong IT and administrative skills.
*Excellent communication and telephone manner.
*Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
*Ability to work calmly under pressure and respond to changing priorities.
*Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
