SEND Tutor - Stockton-on-Tees
Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to support learners in Stockton-on-Tees on a part-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised 1:1 educational support to learners who may be unable to access mainstream education or require additional support with their learning.
The Role
As a SEND Tutor, you will provide tailored tuition either in the learner’s home or in a suitable public/community setting, depending on the learner’s needs.
You will:
*Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition.
*Adapt lessons to meet individual SEND needs.
*Support learners to re-engage with education and build confidence.
*Help learners develop academically, socially and emotionally.
*Build positive and trusting relationships with learners and their families.
*Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback.
*Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a tutor who:
*Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
*Has a teaching, tutoring or relevant educational background.
*Can adapt their teaching style to individual learning needs.
*Is patient, nurturing, reliable and resilient.
*Has excellent communication skills.
*Is passionate about helping learners reach their potential.

Experience supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, anxiety, behavioural needs or other additional educational needs would be beneficial.
