Our client, an industry leader in its sector, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Technical Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing the cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services to support business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:*Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner to support demand
*Ensuring materials arrive on the purchase order required date
*Maintaining supplier details on the ERP system
*Building solid working relationships with suppliers
*Monitoring performance and managing improvements
*Keeping PO delivery dates current on SAP
*Collaborating with the Supply Chain team to manage core suppliers in specialized commodity groups
*Carrying out tasks and duties as required by Senior Management
Job Requirements:*Experience as a Senior Buyer or Buyer
*Competency in using MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word & Outlook
*Experience with ERP systems
*Experience in a manufacturing environment
*Competency in one or more of these commodity groups: Engines and Mechanicals, Composites
*Ability to read technical drawings and understand technical data
*Professional and entrepreneurial attitude
*Excellent communication and assertiveness skills
*Flexible, reliable, and self-motivated
*Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet multiple project deadlines
