Full job descriptionButler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation in Plymouth to recruit a Senior FP&A Analyst.
This is a key commercial finance position offering significant exposure to senior leadership across the business. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial insight, challenging operational performance, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Working across multiple business functions, you’ll act as a trusted finance partner, helping decision-makers understand financial performance and identify opportunities to improve results.
Key Responsibilities
*Partner with operational and commercial leaders to provide financial insight and performance challenge.
*Deliver profitability analysis across products, customers, and business units.
*Support strategic projects through detailed financial evaluation and investment appraisal.
*Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to improve business visibility and decision-making.
*Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through the analysis of financial and operational data.
*Provide commercial support for pricing, margin improvement, and cost optimisation initiatives.
*Contribute to the enhancement of reporting tools, data quality, and analytical capabilities.
*Support senior management with scenario modelling and business case development.
About You
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
*Previous experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering, or financial analysis.
*Strong data analysis and financial modelling capabilities.
*Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
*Commercially astute with a genuine interest in understanding business performance.
*Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
Desirable Experience
*Manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, or other operationally focused environments.
*Experience using Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, or similar BI and reporting tools.
*Exposure to ERP systems and performance reporting automation.
