Full job descriptionRegional Logistics Manager
Location: Covering Midlands, Home Counties, South East, South West, North West, North East, Scotland, Ireland
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £95,000
We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the environmental services sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Regional Logistics Manager to join their growing operations team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a supplier-facing role and enjoys improving operational performance, building long-term partnerships, and driving large-scale change. You’ll play a key role in the implementation and long-term success of an ambitious national initiative.
The Role:
You’ll oversee a portfolio of strategic supplier partnerships, building strong working relationships while ensuring services are delivered efficiently, commercially and in line with agreed performance standards. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll help coordinate operational readiness ahead of launch before moving into a business-as-usual role focused on supplier performance, governance, and continuous improvement.
*Developing strong relationships with logistics, processing, and operational partners across your region.
*Using operational insight and performance reporting to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and enhanced service delivery.
*Working closely with suppliers to improve performance, address challenges and maintain high operational standards.
*Leading regular performance reviews, governance meetings, and site visits.
*Contributing to programme implementation by coordinating readiness activities, trials and key delivery milestones.
*Managing operational issues and working collaboratively to deliver effective solutions.
*Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall network performance.
*Working cross-functionally with colleagues across operations, technology, finance, and compliance to deliver shared objectives.
*Promoting best practice and contributing to longer-term operational improvements.
About you:
You’ll bring experience managing supplier relationships within a complex operational environment and be confident balancing commercial awareness with strong stakeholder engagement.
*Experience managing third-party suppliers against KPIs, SLAs and contractual commitments.
*Strong operational and commercial judgement.
*The ability to analyse performance data and turn insight into action.
*Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
*Experience delivering operational projects, change initiatives or mobilisation programmes.
*A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive continuous improvement.
*Flexibility to travel regularly across your assigned region.
It would be advantageous if you have:
*Experience within the environmental sector.
*Knowledge of logistics networks or transport operations.
*Experience supporting major operational launches or transformation programmes.
*Project management experience or recognised qualifications.
What’s on Offer:
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile national programme. You’ll join a collaborative organisation where you’ll have the opportunity to influence operational delivery, strengthen strategic partnerships and help shape the future direction of a nationally important programme.
If you’re passionate about operational excellence, enjoy building strong supplier partnerships and are looking for a role where you can make a tangible difference, we’d love to hear from you. For more information, please email
